The papers are telling us that atomic armageddon is never far away, especially with that fat North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un on the warpath. Should we be scared of nuclear war, or is this just more Cold War paranoia? When I was leaving Las Vegas on Friday I drove out across the Nevada desert, close to the Nevada Atomic Testing Site. From the 1950s to the 1980s the desert north of Vegas was the site of 928 nuclear tests, with most of them happening underground. spoke to Michael Hall, director of the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas to find out if he thinks we should be scared about nuclear war with North Korea, or have we seen it all before?
