Can having a drink really help diabetics?

I've been off the booze for weeks now, but it turns out a glass of red wine now and again might not be the worst thing in the world for diabetics like me. Experts in Denmark say a regular tipple in moderation could reduce the risk of Type 2 Diabetes, and avoid the need for injections. Is this true? And why have doctors completely changed their minds on whether diabetics should eat carbs? I spoke to Dr James Gill, GP at Warwick Med School, to hear his views.
