French centrist and cougar-enthusiast Emmanuel Macron has been elected as the French president, with over 60% of the vote, defeating the Front Nationale's Marine Le Pen. The former investment banker used his victory to warn the UK to expect "tough" Brexit negotiations, and came on to the EU national anthem "Ode to Joy". Is this another victory for the globalists and the EU establishment, or should we just be relieved that the far right didn't win? I spoke to French freelance journalist and columnist at The Telegraph Anne-Elisabeth Moutet.
Before that I spoke to Scott Lucas, professor of American Studies at the University of Birmingham. Scott's made no secret of the fact that he doesn't like his new president, but how would he rate Donald Trump's first 100 days in office?
