Yesterday we asked: Is this Westminster Sex scandal about to scupper Brexit?
As a result a debate kicked off on twitter between Jon and Paul Connew, former Editor of The Sunday Mirror and now columnist for The New European. He thinks Gaunty went too far suggesting this might be some form of anti-Brexit conspiracy. Is there really an EU-phile ring right at the heart of Westminster, intent on ruining Brexit at all costs?
Some are comparing it to the expenses scandal.
However, many of these stories do seem 'much of a muchness', a radio presenter gets her knee touched and says she wasn’t offended by it. Someone makes an offhand 'Benny Hill' style joke. We’re wondering if the papers have covered this correctly, does the ordinary man in the street really care? If you heard an MP had touched someone’s knee would you shout “hold the front page”?
Neil Wallis, the Fleet Street legend, who has edited more national newspapers than most, joins us with his thoughts.
