Shortly after Springfield we stopped in Lebanon, to have a quick look around a Route 66 Museum. The museum is inside the Lebanon Public Library, which is itself inside an old K-Mart Supermarket building.
We had a chat with Sharon behind the desk there. Then we pushed on towards Cuba.
We arrived in a place called Devil's Elbow just after lunch time, where the river had recently burst it's banks and destroyed a small town. We stopped and had a drink and a long chat with a family there who have been running a bar & diner for many years.
They were busy rebuilding after the flood damage, with the help of local volunteers. (see the two pictures at the bottom of the article).
