Should Grenfell survivors be given permanent UK residency?

All of the Grenfell Tower fire survivors whose immigration status was uncertain will have the chance to be granted permanent UK residency. The Home Office has announced this amnesty because it "believed it is right," according to the immigration minister.

Is it morally right to overlook the concerns about illegal immigration and subletting after a disaster of this scale? Nick was joined in the studio by Albert Harwood, a senior immigration lawyer who is representing some of the families involved.

A Muslim academic in Britain has blamed multiculturalism for the rise of Sharia courts and Muslim rape scandals such as that in Rotherham. Dr Rumy Hasan from Sussex University says that our "laissez-faire" attitude to immigrants is allowing communities to live parallel lives, and import many of their attitudes from the likes of Pakistan. If this is right, then how do we deal with this problem, and do we even need to consider internment camps? Nick spoke to the former UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom.
