There’s two levels to this story, firstly the brutal reality of a family facing a hellish situation and secondly the political discussion in America which revolves around ‘Obamacare’. Alan Taman, Campaigns and Media Officer for Keep Our NHS public, joins us to discuss the issue.

Meanwhile The NHS is gearing up to take your DNA off you, England’s chief medical officer says cancer patients should be routinely offered DNA tests to help select the best treatment. Phil Booth from Med Confidential gives us a few reasons why that might be something to worry about. 31,000 NHS patients have already had their entire genetic code sequenced.

Also, it’s the 4th of July so Nick is full of the greatness of America! Do you agree with him, is there really something great about that country?
